Thought i would ask here first, not sure when i can take someone on just yet but thought i would get an idea.

Based from an office in Monkton Kent (Ramsgate way)

Just got my funding though for my company, i have 150 cavity wall and or loft insulation points to use every 3 months. The job would be working with me and involve.

Drilling.

Working from ladders.

Working in lofts

Fibre glass.

And all stages of clean up.

Full training will be provided.

The aim is once i get the company on its feet for the person that i train to work from another van with a workmate allowing me to carry out double the amount of work.

Not so much noble as good business sense IMO. I'd like to think i'd have all the minions running around for me if i ran my own company too :D :p

Not the actual sound matt, that would be wierd. The act.

Simply bizarre.

You were such a "normal" person at the ace cafe as well!

Back on topic.

I thought id ask here as everyone i have ever meet from here has been a decent person. Id rather take my chances here than have to head to the job center to try and pick someone out.

Probably wont find someone from here as all the people local i know are in work.

Just how tight are those margins John?

Nothings gets me going more than a good tight margin, weather it be at work, or at home.

Drilling, screwing, hammering, smashing if necessary. Nothing like a good bit of DIY, but as you guys are pros, I'm sure you know how important it is to get a pro round your house from time to time to do the job.

But as an ex installer and surveyor of over 8 years experience i know how tight the margins are in this game.

Wish you well Raven, need any help or advice just send me a PM mate.

Cheers mate.

I was in the game for 8 years from school and the old man was in for 20 years.

Be interested to know who your inspector mate is, never hurts to name drop;)

Margins are somewhat up, should it work out i can fit 2 jobs a day i should be very well off.

Good to hear that.

I'll probably see my mate this weekend although i think his company are finally pulling him out of south Kent as he was covering from Peterborough to Norwich to Portsmouth!!!! whilst living in Norwich.

I'll ask him if it's ok to send you his number (sure it will be) he's a great chap and I’m sure he'll give you a few pointers on what they look for when monitoring the grant work and maybe even the name of the chap taking over, he's told me that if you have a good relationship with the installers they tend to take it a bit easier on them.

Hopefully result in less callbacks or bad reports if you know what I mean. ;)

What material will you be using?

I've worked with insta, rockwool and walltherm in my time.

Also the insta machene is much lighter and easer to work on.

Gues your doing DP as well as the lofts.
