Matt H
They look really good. I'd take one if you could answer the following questions: 1) Won't they rust? 2) Do they fit the curvature of the boot lid?
gurteen0
Loving the supra logo on them Would they need painted? Not nec to paint but I made some wheel centres for my Mr2 and put some lacqure on them just for extra protection

Hi Matt they are steel but as I said on a prevoius message I made some centre caps and put a clear laqure on them for added protection , The curve question .I have just made it so I am going to fit one myself on my car and make sure all is good before I finalise anything as I am just seeing if there is an interest as its new Will let you know very soon

I reckon if you sold them Lacquered if would be much more appealing. That was it's just a straight "stick on" job. If they fit the boot nicely then i'd be up for one. How thick are they too? Anything more than a few mm might be too much? Perhaps something thinner will mean it would "bend around" the curvature better. Could you do the same with the superman logo?! extendor
Looks like a laser cut job. To be honest they need rumbling or similar to get the edge off and then they need chrome plating. I know ali is a pig to laser on some machines but why not drop the gauge a bit and make in ali and then etch/anodise and you get all sorts of colours as well. I think you also stand a lot more chance of making a quid or two if you offer people a custom job. Its only converting an image into vector line and DXF (or whatever your NC source is). Could be fun. gurteen0
Really sorry for the delay as I had a lot of personal things on. Anyway just to Clarify a couple of things Firstly they are 1.2mm thick , orignally it was 2mm but to make it more plyable its been changed. I found it easy to bend onto the curvature of the Bonnet as you can see in the Pics. Even though it's steel I did laqure mine just to give it a good shiny finish.I used a very strong double sided tape from 3M and seems to be strong enough for the job. As regards the Custom bits just drop me an email on the below address and I will see what I can do for ye If you want to reach me please drop me an email on [email protected] as I would respond quicker Thanx Peeps
