dr_jekyll
the past three days have been absolutly terrible in motoring terms , it started on sunday wen i was driveing home in my beloved supra minding my own buisness down the bypass and from nower a big bang from under the bonet so i hit the clutch and the engine stalled dead at over 100leptons , sudennly i findmyself with no power steering or brakes heading towards the central reservation, luckily upon releasing the clutch the engine cam back and i was able to rescue it before impact. after inspection i found that my downpipe had completely severd from the flange at the back of the turbo , not happy so monday i take the vw passat 20v turbo to work. and low and behold halway there the car comes to a shuddering halt , so i try the key and nothing , so under the bonnet and i find the ancilary belt tensioner has collapsed and the belt has folded back around the crank pully and jammed. im thinkind a sudden halt like that has caused more damage in terms of the timeing , i havent looked that far yet. verry unhappy so today i take my toyota powervan 2.4 d to work , as im driving home i have to go over a mountain , half way up the mountain..... bang , black smoke galor engine siezed , dead.. turnrd out the temp gauge is faulty and the rad faild causing it to over heat and the full throttly all the way up the hill was more than it could take , so dose anybody want to lend me a car for tomorrow Edited June 23, 2009 by dr_jekyll (see edit history)

DSK
Thats a rotten bit of luck! I can vouch for bad luck in 3's. Had a mifire on the supra, a nail in the bmw's tyre and then a nail in the Supra's tyre Hope you get the vehicles back on the road without much hassle.
