You get the new disks on it finally then? :)

My friend owns a trailer/transporter shop in Dorset. I can ask him if you want for models/prices? Or if you find one you like I can possibly get a reasonable price for one if they stock it.

Can't help you there I'm afraid chap. I've never bought one so couldn't even guess at the price. If you think they might be suitable, your best bet is to look up a supplier on the net.

I got a 12 volt one off Ebay for somethiing a year or two back. They had 24 volt ones, too. Machine Mart sell some as well. Decent ones are EXPENSIVE, the budget ones are a bit naff but OK for occasional usage, my cheap one worked OK, but was as noisy as hell, and the pull rating is often quoted using a (supplied) line doubler, which halves the effective distance between winch and vehicle.

Chris, any idea where stocks these, retail wise, I want to try and stay away from the cheap one's, it wil be used a couple of times a month, not worried about noise though........
