Tee from China
Reliant scimitar, try and get the non overdrive model (manual) and an SE5a. It has a ford essex 3l V6 so easy to get bits for and has a bit of grunt and also look stunning. I had an SE6a a good few years back and loved it but the SE5a like in the pic is nicer as it has the chrome etc and is slightly smaller. I have one at the moment awaiting restoration. Try Graham Walkers in Chester as they have a mint SE5a in white with leather for under 3k too! http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_popup.jsp?photosOn=1&dealerid=10697&did=10697&pageid=3&modelexact=1&make=RELIANT&model=SCIMITAR&min_pr=0&max_pr=&mileage=&agerange=&keywords=&max_records=50&photo=0&dealersearch_full=SEARCH&start=1&distance=0&adcategory=cars&channel=DEALERPAGE&id=200925336478396

Not much needed to get it on the road either! an easy 'fixer upper' http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/997369.htm Wow thats knackered ! Don't think I want to take that one on, but good find;)
alaing
Not convinced that, in 1959, a pushrod 4 cylinder 1500cc two seater Hillman costing about £1000 and capable of 100 mph was a rival for a 3.7 litre DOHC straight 6 grand tourer with 240 bhp, a top speed of 140, and a £4000 price tag, but, errr, OK...... And James Bond had one before the Aston!
