dr_jekyll
im still running my na-t on stock h/g and injectors , i know the max i can run is 9psi , but if i add a water injection system what would be the max boost i could run then , and also would having water injection effect the afr figurs i should be looking for ? i know its supposed to be for saftey but if it allows me to pinch a few extra psi i might aswell. and its on a ge motor so can allways put another one in for 50p if needs be. Tricky-Ricky
Water injection will not let you run more boost, if the limit of the head gasket is say 9 or 10 PSI, as its a mechanical limit. WI can be used to squeeze a few extra BHP buy allowing timing to be advanced a few degrees, or run the fuelling a little leaner, and also run a bit more boost, but only if the motor is up to running more boost, but i wouldn't even consider this without quite a few reliable fail safes in place, or you risk a blown up motor. dr_jekyll
what kind of failsafe would you suggest? i have heard roumers from the yank sites of 16psi with the water inj but i never know what to take from them so i allways ask on here before trying it . Terminator
Personal I would not try and up the boost because you have water injection. Get the car mapped to what it is capable of with out WI, then add it as safety precaution at the top end of boost to help keep charge temps down. JamieP
Im supprised you can even run 9psi on stock 330cc injectors tbh, id spend the money on some bigger injectors and a EMU if it was me.

IMO there is a lot of bull and misinformation on some of the US sites. You are welcome to try it, but the end result will be a blown head gasket, why not just run a thicker HG and have done with it? But as already said, i would think about bigger injectors, i would also presume you are running some form of management? if not then you are asking for problems. dr_jekyll
well i want the water injection anyway just for charge cooling , 9psi is pretty mutch max on this fuel pump and injectors , the injectors and emu are all things io want to do along with the 1.3 steel gasket , but thers so mutch do do on the car before i get to that i thaught if i could "borrow" some boost in the mean time i would but maybee not , as for the bull on the yank sites , im just not gonna bother with them anymore. i have a greddy emanage and greddy map sensor for management with an innovate lc1. im showing 11.0 afr on full boost at the moment so shud b fine for now
