Rob_B
Mines the same as that too.. My speedo also only goes up to 120MPH. If I want to get the 180 speedo do I have to buy a complete new unit or just change the face and get some kind of converter ? Ta, Rob. Alex
Rob, get pete's DSC to change KMH tp MPH (just stick an MPH label on it if your easily confused!!) Al, you can do this mode (think you cut a wire on the odo) BUT condider that all your previous documantation is probably in KM's and so a change might put off prospective buyers in the future...not saying you'll sell it soon but every car has a life span usually less than its owners... Rob
No that won't work, Rob's sounds like mine, the speedo face has been changed to read in MPH, max 120. He needs a new (original) speedo face plus the Betts de-limiter. I got mine from Supraman at Meopham, but it took a while. Combine it with a switch to indiglo dials:)
Digsy
My advice (all in my most humble opinion) would be to sort the speedo but leave the odo be. Get a stock dial face (or look under yours to see if the stock one is still there), get a Pete Bett's box of tricks and feed the modded signal to the speedo only at first. Then you can also splice into the feeds to the other speed signal dependant systems on the car as required. If you mod the odo first, then ALL systems on the car will get the modded signal, whether they want it or not. Also, leaving the odo reading in km will sound a lot less "dodgy" when you come to sell the car, because the new owner wont have to do any hard sums to work out the true mileage. randy
TRD 320k speedo anyone?
Rob
or mod the odo to read in miles but don't tell anyone, and claim its still Km. Did I say that, surely not?
