SupraGirlie
There has been a Lexus GS300 parked outside the back of my house down a footpath for months now, not moved, there is a notice on it now from one of the neighbours saying we need to get removed and scrapped, would be a shame, maybe someone could use it for parts or something?!! fizzle
oooh i'll ask my bro he has one, what year/colour is it?
SupraGirlie
It's silver, 1994, looks in good nick too.
Dave17
It's not yours to break is it? Just because it's been there for months doesn't mean you can take it....

One of the neighbours was lent the car a long time ago and the person who lent it to her does not seem to have an interest in taking it back now, just left it to her to dispose of! Dave17
Might just want to run it past the police first, just make sure it hasn't been used for anything that you don't want to get involved with.

I believe she informed them months ago, but because it's down a long dirt track, I doubt they will ever come.
Aero-M
It will still be registered to someone, Moving it or taking parts would result in being done for theft.
JustGav
Speak to the woman, and if she doesn't want, contact DVLA and ask for the V5, they should contact the existing owner and if there isn't a reply will send you a replacement. I have done this with a workshop find I had a few years back with an MG Midget
Matt H
Bizzare! But you can't just take someone else's car regardless if it has been apparently dumped. Probably worth trying to get the owner to sign it over to you if she really is not bothered about it. Which is bizzare again because she will get screwed with either lack of road tax or no SORN as the DVLA will have her registered...
Angarak
If you report it as an abandoned car the police will contact the owner about it, they may even arrange for the removal of it (at the owners expense). Out of curiousity, does it have the 9 spoke GS300 alloys (the ones made by TTE)? You may be able to flog them on here
Swampy442
If you can liberate it, Im interested!
SupraGirlie
Lol I don't want it for myself, was seeing if anyone else did! The owner has no interest in it and I doubt the Police will ever come (if they haven't by now it's unlikely they ever will) I am pretty sure the woman will arrange to get it towed to the nearest scrap yard soon, or would that be illegal or something? It has been parked on our land for months though, so do we not have any rights to remove it?
Carl_S
Interesting area you must live in where people just abandon luxury vehicles down dirt tracks just becuase they can't find a use for them.

Not interesting actually no. Rather dull in fact.
Guest Garfy
can the owner be contacted? I could be interested as I'm thinking of selling the supra and getting one
johnny g
An application for the V5 does not prove ownership, though - bear that in mind, folks.

Axle
If the car is not registered to anyone, then you can claim for the vehicle yourself (as it has been 'abandoned' for so long).

MrRalphMan
I'd invoke the Finders, Keepers rule.. Although if it's got the TTE wheels on it I'll be round with a pile of bricks.
