small black ball bearings found in the idle control valve where did they come from?

When I bought my supra the guy I bought it off told me that he had trouble with the idle valve which meant it would cut out sometime when slowing down to a junction or traffic lights and changing down gears, he told me when he cleaned out the idle valve he found little black ball bearing type things in the valve!

 

Does anyone know where they could have come from?? :(
