Chris Wilson
I am struggling to decide on a sat nav for a truck. I believe some Tom Tom units (930?) can have truck hazard software installed, but this: http://www.snooperuk.com/products/s7000_truckmate/index.html is due out this week, and the 7 inch screen appeals. Would those in the know critique it from the info available please, and maybe tell me why I should or shouldn't consider it? I guess I'd use it in the car too, which it apparently is OK for, being 12 and 24 volt, with the option of turning off the truck hazard warnings and routing. Thanks. Guest RobbyD762
I bought a Truck sat nav a few months back, its a Pronav and it cost me £199 from Maplins. Its not put me wrong so far. It has a system called Prodrive where you enter the Trucks lenght/height/width/weight/and if its dangerous goods. It also shows you while on route of any adverse cambers and high wide hot spots. I hope that helps you mate.
AlexJames
This one is always an entertaining option http://www.needapresent.com/gifts/sat-nag?sid=&DID=
TrickTT
I just use my normal car satnav. I downloaded a set of bridge height alerts, which was useful in the double decker trailers (16' 3" high) but a right PITA most of the time cos the thing never shut up beeping at me. Unless you're planning to do multidrop round london, save your money and just use a normal one.
