michael
In addition to the previous replies, I've used Beconase (nasal spray) for years & years. It's about £8 a bottle and lasts about 6 weeks The docs can do you a bottle that's larger for the cost of a prescription (£7.50?) or you could try this: http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/hayfever-relief-nasal-spray-beclomethasone-nasal_1_10468.html

michael
Thanks. £2.99 sounds rather good Postage is ~£2.95 but if you stock up on a few items (cream for your piles etc) you can save a fair bit.

I thought I might use the saving towards that replacement headwand. I'm sure he's worn it out by now.

mathew
the last few weeks ive tried all sorts of medication and found the best one is the prescribed tablets i get for a soap allergy. they are called Telfast and have worked wonders controlling my hayfever. markssupra
Telfast stopped working for me a few years ago. I have now managed to get a Kenalog injection again from my GP which clears up 90% of the symptoms. If pollen counts still high I have found that Benadryl (3 tabs day) work as they contain Acrivastine. The Benadryl ( 1 tab day) contain Cetirizine Hydrochloride and don not work for me. Charlotte
Does anyone get wheezy and a chesty cough when they have hayfever? I've never had it before but don't know if I actually have a disease or it's still hayfever?

SBDJ
Having suffered every year for as long as I can remember, the only thing that has ever been able to help my eyes are steroid eye drops - but the doctors don't seem to like prescribing them. The other symptoms I can live with, but my eyes suffer really badly. That said I'm also being very wheezy this year. Maybe I should wear swimming goggles out.. Animal
Bugger, My hayfever started last night. I had a sneezing fit this morning that ended up pulling a muscle in my neck. Can't move my head now.
