Wez
I've done a search for Avatar. All i can find is lot of self produced hype about a chap that says his film is going to revolutionise "the game", and a synopsis that's been there done that and numbs the brain. Nothing i've read appears revolutionary, or is this film going to rely purely on its special effects? Trailer, although doesnt give much away. Mike
Trailer, although doesnt give much away. It's taken six years to make, is directed by James Cameron and will (apparently) be exclusively in 3D.. ..all of these 'facts' I half read about two months ago, so they may not be true now... but thought I'd chuck my bit of coal into the hype machine
Matt H
be exclusively in 3D Oh god...
Mike
Oh god... why is that then?
Matt H
why is that then? Novelty. ooh, there's a spear coming at me, or that space ship is massive and it's right in front of me. My Bloody Valentine for instance.... Cr&p beyond cr&p, but it was novel and so did well.

Matt H
Just checking out the trailers and have to say Shutter Island and The Hurt Locker look pretty good Surveillance looks ok. Indeed. Hurt Locker looks phenomenal. Not sure how Shutter Island will turn out. It's a great trailer and tantalises the buds, but will it be any good? Have you seen the trailer for Surrogates? Looks good too.

supra_aero
Yes, our annual Saw offering. lol Keeping with the halloween release date fashion no dought. Shame then had to turn what was one of my all time fav films (the first one), into a Freddy and Jason constant re-hash. Is this the last one or did they plan on 7? Saw 7 is heavily rumoured. I stopped seeing them at 4. Its a pity they keep going as its getting silly now. Still the most horrific films ever made though.

Matt H
Saw 7 is heavily rumoured. I stopped seeing them at 4. Its a pity they keep going as its getting silly now. Still the most horrific films ever made though. I understand they intended to make 7, but possibly have now rolled 6 and 7 into one. The biggest bull with saw was the advertising of saw 5.. "you won't believe how it ends" - No i think that was the first saw, the ending of number 5 was aweful and terribly predictable. Worst one so far, (they get worse each time). Still i'll be back for 6 though Purely on the back of the first. The most shocking film scenes I've ever seen were from Saving Private Ryan's beach landing. Because it was actually real, that happend. Although for pure gore, Hostel part 2 has to be up there.
Matt H
I still love the theme music. Totally! Brilliant score.

Tannhauser
Just watched Land of the Lost, without a doubt, possible the worst film I've ever seen. It can't be simultaneously 'without a doubt' the worst film you've ever seen and 'possible' [sic] the worst film you've seen.

MRX
I saw The Hangover on saturday night, one of the funniest films I have seen I a while, had a packed cinema in total hysterics at parts. Very good entertainment and I recommend. Just watched the DDC version - very funny film, highly recommend watching it.
