uk specs or jap specs brakes

Not quite correct. RZ Facelifts came with the big brakes as standard (i have one) thats it as far as i know.

 

That would be 96 onwards & RZ model.

 

My 1994 J-Spec TT has "UK" brakes- wasnt this an option that could be specced in Japan?

Not sure if it was an option or not, but it certainly wasn't standard. Nic can get the big brakes so i'm guessing the option has always been available for japanese owners. Whether or not it was a factory option or not, i don't know.

Those Ebay grooved discs and red stuff pads are probably ok, but to be honest I'd buy standard discs (or a good known brand like Delphi/Lockheed/Brembo/Girling) and CW fast road pads.

 

Then you'll stop quickly with little noise and without cracking the discs, which is the problem with some of these Ebay cheap chinese discs.
