Right, im expecting some biased views here but would like to see your opinions.

I received my whiplash money today £3453.00 :) i have two cars at the moment, a starlet turbo and a mx5. i think i could get around £3000ish for the both of them together. So that leaves me with about £6500.00

The question is could i get a twin turbo manual for around this amount or am i dreaming? i could save a little maybe £500.00 but would take a while. Is this enough?

Orrrr should i be sensible and pay my loan i got to get my first supra and get a sensible car like a golf?

Over to you guys!

cheers,

Miles

Did you actually have whiplash or was it the 'standard' claim?

With respect Paul what has that got to do with the question and secondly, and take it from someone who knows, its not that easy to 'make up' claims and a 'sprained' neck etc is worth a couple of grand.

As for the original quesiton, I think a TT would be nice although remember that after buying the car you have to spend £ making it yours and getting it 'right'.

Just wondered as having recently been 'rear ended' (lol:)) many people were saying to put in for whiplash although I had none?

Simple really and that was the reason behind it and it was connected to the question because he chose to tell us where the dosh came from;)

I've heard it's fairly easy too, I'd also add that I didn't go for it as it only puts everones insurance up in the long run, OK if you have a genuine injury though.

Yeah it was a genuine claim, i had to have a fair bit of physio and its still not right but they seemed to think 90% recovered is enough?

do you think that i could get a decent TT for that amount or am i looking at trouble at this price range?

i dont mind spending the money on it to keep it sweet, i just dont want to be forking out £££'s to fix it because i bought a dog in the first place?

any links to cars within this price for examples would be greatly appreciated, just so i know what im looking at.

cheers

Cheers for the link. Im really after a 6speed. Is this possible within my budget?

I would think it's possible to get a decent six speed for that, it's case of being patient though. Problem is you're on a budget, after a good example and now a six speed, is it worth considering an auto if it was the right price and a good 'un ?

When I had a personal injury claim, it took a long time to get sorted out. I had a genuine claim, crushed between two cars on my motorbike, In hospital, motorbike was beyond recognition.

The insurance company made me see back specialists, who confirmed my injuries, and they Still didn't want to pay out. Got there in the end though.

Although i have heard the auto boxes are excellent i would really like to go for a manual, theres something a little bit more involving in having to change the gears yourself.

I thought id ask so i could see what peoples opinions were on whether a tt is obtainable for this price that isnt going to cause me a lot of grief.

Got a UK six speed myself mate, I know what you're saying about the changing gear thing;)

The autos are meant to be good though so don't dismiss them without trying.
