Some tight nuts....

Good grief what a day...

Helping Suprash sort out some issues. The plan was to change some brake disks...

Just jack it up and take the wheel off I hear, well okay, lets try...

Take off the wheel nuts right? Okay, after driving around to find a 27mm socket after buying a 26mm and it not fitting. socket check!

Put the socket on the breaker bar and away we go... WRONG.. snapped the breaker...Hmmm.. this could be an issue..

Drive down to a tyre place... 1/2" air gun, nope, no good... okay try another place, BIG 1" drive air gun, spun them off and spun them back on, ALL good :)

Drive back, slacken them off ready to do the work...breaker bar #2 snap....tighten up the remaining ones and then drive back to the tyre place and "Are you sure you did them all, yes mate, can you do them again please", "Aaah, might have forgotten one" AFTER using a 5ft breaker bar..

Drive back home, jack it up, take all the nuts off finally... the rest of it is still a story in the making...

Total damage; 2 1/2" breaker bars (24 inch long) and 2 ratchets.... seesh :)

Guess the vehicle :)

PS : Good to meet you Caseys :) (He popped past and offered some assistance as well :))

Sounds like a nitemare, was it some kind of truck, hgv;)

Focus?

Hahahaha, I reckon the 1" airgun used would have flipped a focus over..

large car transporter needed to move an MR2 about?

Yup, the Iveco transporter thing of his, which he uses to go to the drift days... :)

Considering I am 15 stone and can bench press 100Kg, leg press over double that I really didn't think that nut was going to shift after trying to apply all my weight or leverage against that damn thing.

Was the other side just the same?

Next time just wire the truck up to have 100% rear brake bias ;) Then again you'd be kinda drifting on the way to the drift event.
