JustGav
I admire the artwork that this car is, but I just can't help thinking why? It is awesome, but seems like a LOT of work....Dunno, I love it, but just makes me think 'why'

JustGav
Why not I know, I know, and that is a damn good reason, guess I've got my logical head on and I can't see how they will recoup development costs and the like, because it isn't as though you can buy a 4wd kit on the shelf
Homer
The 1FZ is a landcruiser engine isn't it? Have they just simply lumped a landcruiser engine and drivetrain in there then rebuilt everything to extreme specs? Still, pretty bloody extreme and love the idea of a 4wd supra. Drag use only I'd assume!
RobSheffield
Yep, 4.6 L6 Landcruiser engine Russians eh
Scott
I think its a cracking idea but aimed wrong. Surely if your going to build a 4wd sup you build it for the track? When it comes to proper drag racing does the benefits of 4wd even outweigh the transmission losses etc etc? The whole build looks like a dream though, not one penny spared. Everything looks stunning. The drivetrain....

The drivetrain.... Apparently according to the SF thread. they are aiming at 2500bhp... So i guess transmission loss isnt a worry The turbo is actually a bit small for the 2500hp goal. Planing to change it to 114mm version Edited June 12, 2009 by Guigsy (see edit history)
Scott
Apparently according to the SF thread. they are aiming at 2500bhp... So i guess transmission loss isnt a worry Transmission loss + weight + whatever else goes along with it will probably negate the effectiveness of the 4wd though would it not? I'm only guessing as i'm pretty sure the RWD record is faster than the AWD record for the 1/4 mile. In my mind there must be a reason?
