kslb
This is like another one that was advertised on here and pistonheads with claims of 501bhp but after the slating it got on here the owner said it was a mistake and was supposed to read 401bhp and it has now been ammended maybe this is a similar situation! Holden1989
But even 420bhp is a push on twin turbos?
DSK
I think many people will sell a car with overstated power, thinking that people will be impressed and not tell the difference on a test drive if they have nothing to compare it against or lack experience and just buy...... Steviekid
But even 420bhp is a push on twin turbos? 420 should be attainable on stock twins with the appropriate fueling. I'm sure someone on here got 500 on hybrids (with a huge amount of work and mapping).

scoooby slayer
2 garrett gt2860 double ballbearing turbos have a flow rate of 700 bhp. so is possible with 2 bigger twin turbos.
mikeyb10supra
The car in question is on stockers though
imi
420 should be attainable on stock twins with the appropriate fueling. should be (with UK twins as a starter), not many are though, most BPUs are 380ish.
tony tt
I notice in the pics it doesnt give you a close up of the engine the figures are a load of sh!t! As said you wont get anywhere near that on stock tubs. You should ring him and ask where he got the bhp figure from. Thin air likely
Rob Dublin
Saw that last week and thought the same, it's nearly as bad as the guy looking for 10k for an n/a and looking for a quick sale!
imi
Thin air likely if thin air then even less power, needs to be cold dense air...
Chiefgroover
NO dyno sheet = Pub talk.
_Shane_
All depends on where he got it rolling roaded you know what im talking about claire. My supra one one rolling road is over 500bhp and then on a dyno dynamics is 400bhp
dude
Thing is if you take someone down the road in a 400 hp car and tell em its 500 they will prob believe you, especially if they are not used to a powerfull car. I think a lot of owners just convince themselves it has X amount of HP and then in their mind it has. Or maybe they just have diff horses in ireland. Minichick
I know the car as its from my town and i've been in it so I can tell you its very very lively. Not sure what mods were done to it but your man selling it is a genuine guy who maybe in my opinion is just repeating what he was told when he bought it. To my knowledge he hasnt done anything to it since owning it bar service etc.

marc_p
But even 420bhp is a push on twin turbos? Naa if you go fully BPU it should see you nicely to around 420, anymore though and your probably going to need hybrids.
rob wild
Although I'm sure this advert is total rubbish! over 500 has been done Although John's was/is a UK! http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=768486&postcount=
