hogmaw
Don't worry there are plenty of other strap-on companies you can deal with, like these people for instance
SUPRALOOPY
finaly! expected a response from you lol flaming time?? I will never flame you:rolleyes: These things happen mate. If I reeled off a list of ooopps's I've made while working on rolls royce and bentleys you'd cry. But thats how you learn:(. I had to pay for all my fook ups so I learnt where I was going wrong VERY quickly. At the end of the day its a light ffs, so the most it can cost you is 300 ish. Try driving a bentley turbo into a silver cloud cos the stick shift was fooked and nobody told you. Dave;)
Kirk
appriciate that dave, makes me feel a little bit better bout it just wish i knew why it happened, im going with a reaction theory myself, only way of explaining it. Slapped my other cleared j spec lenses on them for now for daz to use till new 1s arrive
SUPRALOOPY
Did it react? If so how long did you leave it between coats? what temp was the booth at? did you use a splash of rocket to speed the curing time up? all these things could have played a part. I think you may have left it just too long between coats and the dust coat or full coat started to cure, then you hit it again. Just a guess of course. Kirk
well i found the cause of the problem! we were sent the wrong laquer and nobody picked up on it. This explains why i only screwed 1 up, i ran out of laquer on the 2nd coat, rushed back in the mixing room and opened up a new tin thinking it was the same stuff and mixed it up. Several other jobs went terribly wrong today cause no one knew. This stuff reacted like hell, i dont think it helped being dropped onto a totaly different laquer either but whatever it did it goosed it oh well, shit happens i guess On another note boss reasured us today that no one is being made redundent anytime soon so i guess thats an upside again sorry dazla! Thats the most important thing.

SUPRALOOPY
owwwwwwwwwch and you had to pay to fix that??? I had to pay for paint etc... I repaired them in my own time with help from other work mates. But yes you learn very quickly to be ubar careful and check everything. Thats why I'm confident around a supra cos I double check everything and wrap them in cotton wool when they are in my possesion.
