Lbm
If some 72 yr old went on the rampage and killed 300 people, I doubt very much the age card would come up then... Of course there was the guy who fired off a few shots and killed a security guard in a museum in USA yesterday. He was harmless really - as he was only 88 years old. Perhaps back here in Blighty, the Queen should taser everyone who reaches 100. I'm not sure why, but it'd be more fun for everyone than receiving a standard issue (albeit royal) b'day card. Carl_S
I am both for it and against it.
jamesmark
She 100% deserved it. As usual though what will be over looked is the fact the Sgt. was keeping her safe. If she walked out into traffic and was taken out by a car/truck, the police man would no doubt have lost his job for not using reasonable force or other means to contain her. Jamesy W
She was acting like a 'tard, the copper done the right thing in lighting her up for a couple of seconds. Personally after having to endure her sh!te for over ten minutes, I'd have trouble taking my finger off the trigger.

Carl_S
When i was 14 years old, this woman was 52. Michelle pfeiffer is nearly 52, and sylvester stallone is over 52. The story is great, becuase it involves ageism, justice, funny surnames, conflict with authority, women, saggy breasts, dark glasses and america. Supra-Woman
"Go ahead, tase me" she asked for it.
Aweegin
..lol how do you come across these stories? Does seem a little heavy going...though, when you see her after acting all Angelic (till the tape was released) makes ya wonder what kinda person she actually is, attitude wise... I don't envy the copper for havin to make that decision.. Of course.. another theory.. maybe it was his mother-in-law...? lol sorry. I did hear a rumour the cop had watched Judge Dredd the night before..but these are unfounded..
JustGav
39yr old dies possibly from tasering... http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/06/12/oz_taser_fatality/ A north Queensland man has died after being tasered by police officers during a "domestic incident", Australia's ABC News reports. Police were called to deal with "a naked man was acting aggressively and destroying property at a residence at Brandon", according to a statement. AndrewOW
The policeman had to do something to end the standoff, so if he'd exhausted all other means of persuasion, then that was his last option other than physically lifting her up or going for his gun. It's definitely a tough call, but what would YOU do in that situation?
stupra
I don't think the use of the tazer was called for, at her age it could of resulted in her death. I've been on the recieving end of a tazer myself, it's not a nice experiance... The cop should of used his training an restrained her properly, if he knew what he was doing she should not of come to any real harm.
