what was he doing?

personly im going tro learn the handleing on my car. i dont get chance on the road. My car is an auto. Im not looking to be super fast or put in loads of laps. Just have some fun.

Tottally agree its all about what your happy with on the day, its not a race (well maybe me and simon will race a little) but its a day of fun, my first ever trackday was in a 1.7TD cavalier round bedford and was an absolute scream, was the slowest car there but i had a brill day and only used £15 in fuel all day ;).

Dont be put off by thinking you have to drive like an idiot to have a good day or keep up with single turbo's its all about what your happy with on the day.

I realise people like JamieP etc have cars built for the track

TBH mate my car is far from a track setup car, its a heavy old girl id say, my complete car is dynamatted, both sides of doors/rear quaters/boot/boot hatch/complete floor, i have upgraded all the speakers/amps and a sub box, full leather retrim, all door cards and seats, water inj tank in the boot plus a few more things ive forgot no doubt:)

Still, with your new camber or......whatever it was and a meaty single turbo, it's not really a shopping cart is it!:D:p

I always think I'll just do a handful of laps. The 'problem' is that if you're anything like me you do a few laps and think that's enough for now, come into the pits, get out of the car..... 5 seconds later you're thinking nah this is too much fun, I'm going back out NOW. :D

what was he doing?

Chinese whispers? Origami? Making sushi as he drove? We should be told.

I'm not even convinced he had a UK license. He would weave all over the track randomly, got lost a few times , not see flags (easily done in the heat of the moment but he did it repeatedly - I think he kept going round and round after the end of a familiarisation session too), would slow down to less than half the speed of the next slowest car whilst he messed about with his stereo and yet not think about indicating and keeping out of the way, got told off for things and just smiled and nodded when he clearly understand... then go back out and do the same things again. The list went on but the worst was he nearly caused a few incidents.
