What do i want???

So ive a budget of around 7-8k and a new car is on the horizon. ive looked at quite a few cars but ive put it all in the region of evos, skylines and supra's. few things that lures me to the supra (tt obviously) is the pure power across the rev range, looks, driving experience with my last one, and cheap insurance £900+ approx. Cons for me is the rwd as i'l be using it all year round and i feel like i wouldn't get the most out of it being wet for 11/12 months of the year. i just feel 4wd would be more fun, but that lack of power higher up the rev range i would miss, or motorway fun ;)

Ive looked at evo 4's, 5's and a few 7's (6's are a bit £££ for a good one) but again the higher rev range sounds a bit dissapointing. Might be fun low end driving though, and all year round handling sounds tempting. Insurance is very high though, £1800+. Skylines i'm not that clued up about. i heard the r32 GTR is the "drivers car", but i prefer the look of the r33 GTR. again i'm not sure how performance compares to the others. insurance is a lot, £1700+ approx.

I just feel a bit stuck in what to get as i want power, good handling, and something that isn't going to financially kill me, or put me sideways into a tree every time i put my foot down lol

Any suggestions, or other cars that fit the bill....and not a GT4. Anybody owned/driven all 3 to compare them?

My best advice would be to go and drive them all and see what you think, I've driven all that you've mentioned and I could give you my opinions of each but you're better off driving them and making your own decision :)

but a couple of other options prehaps;

Golf R32

S15 Silvia

S2000

350z (almost in budget)

Buy Deans car.

got a link?

my dad used to have an evo fq400 and that was unbelievable. bit different to my budget evo's though. he's got a maserati grandsport instead now but just can't put his foot down hardly at all and seems a bit pointless unless you have another decent run around *cough* like his cossie

I love my zed and it fits your criteria. For 7-8k unless really lucky you'll only get a 52/53 plate, likely a JDM in silver. Not a bad motor, not as fast as a TT but the big engine gives great power delivery in all gears, very smooth, plus its the best RWD handling car I've owned, and I've had many...

Mine's an 05 JDM in sunset, costs me around £450/year.

i really like the 350z, only thing that puts me off is the lack of back seats.
