It is now time to sell the new kittens.

image We have 3 available to sell. So far, none of them have names. The first is a boy He has a Bengal style belly (spots and stripes) with a black/grey head and body longhaired.

The second boy, looks just like his dad very bengal like with symetrical markings and stunning spotty belly shorthired.

The last one is a girl, black nearly all over with very faint grey markings shorthaired.

I am selling them, not asking for comments on where you can get cheaper.

You gonna look after something you pay £15 for???

I dont need to know if you are not interested!!

Thanks

And there is nothing saying they are pedigrees

(talk about stating the obvious!!)

Nice attitude.

I was merely stating an important point. You're asking pedigree money for your kittens, wouldn't want anyone to take the price the wrong way.

Sorry, bad day.

A pedigree will cost over £400, the price reflects the fact the mum had to have an op to take them out (which cost over £400).

And to clarify 'starting price' is the price I would like (I am expecting haggaling)

I'm sorry but is this some sort of joke? The vast majority of kittens are given away for free and even then some people struggle to find homes for them all. If they were worth £100 each then half the poplulation would be breeding them.

To rehome a kitten from the RSPCA costs £60ish which includes speying/neutering, vaccinations etc.

Understandable that you want a fee to ensure they go to a good home... most people do that then donate the money to the RSPCA rather than giving them away free. People that are willing to pay for a kitten are usually the type of people who will look after them.

£100 is too much.... especially if you are keeping the money for yourself... understandable that you want them to go to a good home though, so full marks for not just giving them away.

I am sure everybody has tried to sell some thing in the past.

Haggling is all I need to say.

Look around and you will find most kittens going for between £50-£100.

If you pay for an item it is worth some thing to you!

If you just get given it, where is the appreciation and commitment and where is the achievement??

I paid for all my cats and all were £70.

If you would like to have a kitten let me know, if not find a chat room and make a discussion.

Thanks for the comments kill!!

I agree that something is worth what people are willing to pay. If you have something special, and if someone wants it bad enough they will pay the price.

I was willing to pay a lot more than average (if you will) for one of our kittens because she was exceptionally beautiful. She's not pedigree, but i travelled the country to get her. Silver grey coat, black paws and nose with deep yellow eyes.

Beautiful lady (as my GF calls her), although just because she's a pretty kitty, doesn't mean she behalfs that way! Shocking habits! Shes' the "my fair lady" of the cat world!! lol :D

My thoughts exactly Matt. My cats (and kittens) in my eyes are amazing and well worth it, I have never seen markings like this before.

Does not mean I need to be informed by every person that they think the price is too high.

But hey, after all that is my opinion.

I got my cat for free and looked after her well, and when she had kittens i looked after them well, and never once thought about neglecting them because i didnt pay for them.

You dont need to spend money to look after, appreciate or love something.

No you're absolutely right you don't, but it certainly filters out the good and bad owners. Most people would look after them properly, but there's a lot of kittens that people get for free as a present or on a whim that are abandoned soon as they start to grow up or if they are naughty. My fiancee is a veterinary nurse and she fosters spare kittens in her spare time and re-homes then on behalf of the RSPCA.

She get's contacted by a lot of people who phone up "I want a kitten for my sons/daughters birthday etc..." when you tell them they have to pay £60, some of them are like, "I'm not paying for a stupid cat" ; "£60 for a kitten, I can't afford that etc etc". These are the sort of people that shouldn't own a kitten. If you can't afford the £60 to get it in the first place, then you certainly couldn't afford to ensure it's looked after properly or afford to pay vets bills should anything happen to them....
