sidewaysbad
Hi all, First I'd like to say hello as a new owner and since this is my first post. I've got a 94 TT manual with a toad alarm and I'm keen to get a turbo timer fitted. I need an idiots guide here...which one, how do I fit etc. I think I can handle sitting there while it cools down, but I'd rather the time was based on what I had just been doing driving wise instead of just a safe number on minutes. Cheers Steve
cashpoint
Just return the turbo timer there rather point less anyway.
JohnA
Apart from creating a bypass for the alarm, the timer promotes idling a hot engine, which is not beneficial mate. You just shouldn't switch off immediately after a full boost run, that's all. Usually that might be the case when you stop on motorway services, I can't think of another scenario (street use) really, where you won't be off-boost for 30-60 seconds after boosting. Get a refund for the TurboTimer and use the money to change oil more often...
