Scott
Just got back from seeing the movie. Don't believe what the critics say, its fantastic. Thorougly enjoyed the movie and i was hooked from the beginning right till the end. The only thing that disappointed ever so slighly was how predictable it was, other than that it was simply superb. The effects in these movies just go from strength to strength. A few nice ties to T2, which are very subtle but nice to see. Overall, 10 out of 10 and definitely one that will be getting added to the collection! Bale FTW!
Kirk
would you say its on par with star trek visualy?? very excited bout seeing this so many good films coming out!
jamesmark
Anything must be better than T3. I am going to see this tomorrow.
Scott
I can't compare the 2 as unfortunately the star trek i saw was ahem, not quite top quality. I must say, it had a definite sense of realism. Its hard to explain, have you seen black hawk down? The realism of the effects were simply second to none. Its as if Star Trek had a lot of bells and whistles where you looked at the effects as stunning and mind blowing. T4 has those effects that look real and don't look like effects. Obviously certain parts, like big metalic robots, looked like obvious effects (but still amazing) but the scenery etc was just mind blowingly real. Its one of those movies, i can't wait to see it again just so i can pick up on the things i missed... visually I'm going to be RAVING about this flick, and of course star trek. What a cracking start to the summer!
Scott
Anything must be better than T3. I am going to see this tomorrow. I thought T3 was an excellent flick, didn't take itself too seriously which was needed to make it work IMO. I'm thinking you might have the opposite opinion of me on the new one then Oh, T4 is serious, as serious as serious gets

Scott
Oh, its a MUST to see this one in the cinema folks! The sound effects bring a LOT to this movie as well as the obvious visual fx.
jamesmark
If T4 is along the same serious line as T1 & T2 then I will love it. T3 was a good time filler, but after the effort of T1 & T2 it failed in all aspects and almost killed the franchise.

Its not LIKE the 1st one but its as serious as it was

Definitely, if its on any IMax's go there. It just so happened that the movie was on Screen1 at my local, which is almost twice the size of the rest. really makes the movie, you forget youre in a hall tbh. Todd
Pleased to hear it, been avoiding the reviews as I think so many critics just wanted to pan it because of McG and the lack of Arnie. Will be going on Monday

Carl_S
Hmmm, I'll have to check it out. For me it's a historic moment, and I don't want to risk spoiling it by a viewing at a substandard local flea pit.
Todd
I AM McG mate It's funny, they only ever mention him as the guy that made the Charlies Angels remake but I love the work he has done on Supernatural and Chuck is pretty damn good as well. Scott
just got back! guys..... WHAT A FILM!!! awesome, action is immense! go see it trust me you wont regret it ! I thought you were kidding! Well, the FX? What is the verdict? I couldn't really describe them as they aren't really "the norm" as far as modern effects go. Which adds to the effect in my opinion! Kirk
1080p! 52" 7.1 surround sound!!!
Scott
1080p! 52" 7.1 surround sound!!! To add to that, the sound makes a lot of the movie. More so than a LOT of movies i have seen. The choppers & aircraft arriving, going past were just phenominal. Felt EVERYTHING before seeing it. I might need to buy a proper setup before watching it again lol. So much would be missing.
