Matt H
We were discussing what film to go and see on Wednesday night. There were advanced screenings of the new Terminator on at my local cinema, but my mates said that the reviews weren't great, and star trek was supposed to be a huge hit. I looked on the IMDB and indeed they were right, a disappointing 6.7 for terminator, but 8.4 for Star Trek. I agreed to Star Trek and away we went. You know when you've seen a brilliant film when 2 hours later you come back into the real world after being completely hooked till the credits. I have to say, surprisingly, this is by far the best film I’ve seen this year thus far. Simply brilliant. Excellent story line and fantastic acting. Silar should receive an Oscar for his role as Spock. I'm not a treky by any stretch of the imagination, but I appreciated the nods to the original series, and I can certainly imagine the creaming that Hardcore Trekies will be uncontrollably experiencing as their heroes are introduced and become the characters they are in the series. Utterly brilliant and I would recommend to anyone, even if you don't know your T Kirt from your J Picard. You don’t need to, it’s a stand alone sensation, that makes it all the better for it’s heritage. 10/
AlexJames
awesome! I actually cant wait to see it... you've now made me more excited woo!
Carl_S
I know the guy that is standing in for Picard (his double), but I would still rather see terminator. Terminator is buried deep in my soul. Spent years writing a dance remix of the main theme tune (and it was still crap).
Lbm
Star Trek - Saw it on Tuesday afternoon. An absolutely splendid film
Matt H
Picard (his double), but I would still rather see terminator. Are you already privy to the sequel? Because as far as i'm aware, this one focuses unconditionally on Kirk?

Scott
I thoroughly enjoyed Star Trek. Going to see T4 tonight, hoping the reviews are a load of crap. Star Trek really does stand alone as a movie. You don't need to know anything about it to follow and enjoy. If you are even the slightest trekkie it just adds to the enjoyment of the movie. 10 out of 10 from me too. ellis
Seen both Star Trek and Terminator - Star Trek was head and shoulders above Terminator - certainly the very best ST film of the lot and the best film around at the moment.

Carl_S
Hey dave, how are you today? Matt, I don't know much about star trek mate, all I know is that I know a picard double. He said he had not long ago finished filming, I'm guessing it must have been about three months back.
ellis
In your opinion. Is Terminator worth a watch? Yeah - it's not a bad film, just not a great one.
Matt H
Yeah - it's not a bad film, just not a great one. That's what the critics say too. Certainly going to give it a go, I love a Christian Bale film, and can't think of anything else out that i'd prefer to watch next wednesday. Al Massey
I saw Star Trek the other week and thought it was an amazing film. Saw Terminator Salvation on wednessday and thought it was a great film. The critics got it wrong. It flowed well, kept in tune with the storeyline and the graphics were sensational.

SILKYSMOOTH
Loved it...I was expecting a complete shambles of a film but it ended up being brilliant...I loved the way they kept the authenticity of the characters and great story line....
