I prefer exhaust assembly paste as it will seal most exhaust joints and you don't have to buy something specific to a particular model car like you do with gaskets. Homer Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 As above. With aftermarket exhausts where the face has not been machined I've always had more success using paste rather than gaskets.
