Had my valve stem seals done.

Yay. Finally, no more smoke after leaving the car for a few days.

I presume there are other benefits to having it done? Are there ?

Don't even know how much it's cost yet.

 

Had a new cambelt too. It's nice to know the car is being well kept anyway.

head off job ?

thinking of doing mine, any idea what it ran you ?

mechanic has said he has had a airline tool made for supra so you can leave head on

instead of doing the old rope trick

 

Not head off, no, just air. I don't think anything specific to the Supra is needed, just regular spark-plug sized fitment. I didn't do it, a garage I use did it. They're very good.

 

I'll know how much it cost when I go to see him and take some computery software for his lad.. hopefully he'll be gentle with me!! The parts cost me about £150 from Steve Manley, and the garage also put a new cambelt on for me, plus he MOTd it too.

 

Dude/AFR on here does the job for £400. Don't know if that's just the labour though.
