What about the prestige and heritage of the Cosworth name It packs a serious punch for a 2 litre engine This Cossie would be a real match on a track I would have thought against a lardy Supra ? I love Supras but I think we all get a little precious some times
johnny g
Does it really out perform the Cossie in EVERY way ? I'd say so - a BPU Supra would be as quick as that and more driveable. What about the prestige and heritage of the Cosworth name A name isn't really performance though - agree, Cosworth has stacks of history. It packs a serious punch for a 2 litre engine A lot of 2ltr cars do these days. 450bhp MR2's aren't uncommon. This Cossie would be a real match on a track I would have thought against a lardy Supra ? Maybe off the mark with the 4WD, but really, after that, I think a Supra would murder it. 4WD understeer, vs RWD oversteer. I love Supras but I think we all get a little precious some times We all do, but in this instance, I think it's right too.

Agree, it's a mkiv forum at the end of the day, but the Sierra Cosworth is an antique now.
tooquicktostop
Agree, it's a mkiv forum at the end of the day, but the Sierra Cosworth is an antique now. To be fair to myself (!) I made my comments with a certain amount of nostalgia pumping through my veins, I was driving R5 GT Turbo's and RS Turbo's in the late 80's early 90's and the Cossie was always the daddy and I wanted one so bad, it never happened and part of me still wants to get one and live that dream I would describe it as a classic and not antique however Anyway sorry about going way off track on your for sale thread

Was a real desire back in that day when she had a 2.0 Sierra. I can appriciate what they were. They are a classic i suppose. As for the Renault 5 GT Turbo's. I'm not sure which was more hideous, the nova or the 5.. They make me shiver to think of them. Anyway sorry about going way off track on your for sale thread Free bumps i quess.
