Homer
This problem appears to be back again, though very intermittent. Has anyone else using ex-NTL or virgin media customers in the Thames valley area had intermittent issues accessing the forum? As a few might recall there were proxy issues for a lot of ex-ntl customs last year so wanted to check if this is impacting anyone else before contacting VM... JustGav
Nah, I'm good here.... Try ultrasurf if you are having issues
Homer
Thanks Gav, it's not really an issue personally as I have several VPN accounts to bypass the VM proxies, only wanted to check if other people were impacted. Last time it took a couple of months before NTL (at the time) confirmed a routing issue affecting tens of thousands of their users (and dozens of people trying to access the forum). Just wanted to check if anyone else is impacted by this before going to VM.

SILKYSMOOTH
I quite fequently have problems browsing the site, it either freezes or hangs and I end up either having to close the browser and re-open or clear temporary internet files etc. Pain in the backside, did it 2 minutes ago again .... JustGav
Funnily enough I've lost normal connectivity tonight, looks like it is the proxy servers that are down as I'm routing through a VPN at the mo.
ilicos
As mentioned before, I have issues getting into the site most days now. I keep getting a page that says that I cannot connect to the server or something along those lines. I don't have this problem with any other site. Branners
Can all those with problems confirm that you are on Virgin? And this isnt just a general problem? I am on Virgin and at nights I tend to lose connection to the forum for about 5 minutes and then it comes back.
Dash Rendar
I'm on Virgin. Haven't had any problems accessing the forum in months. I tend to hop on for about 5 minutes a go half a dozen times a day.

My issue wasn't NTL/VM related, apologies, my proxy server's filtering through a bit of a tantrum...

Homer
Well problems continue here, site is fine all day then between 8pm and 11pm every day the site drops out randomly for 5-10 minutes. It's not a local issue as the site works fine from VPN on the same router. VM have said it's a proxy issue so have suggested using an alternative: webcache.blueyonder.co.uk port 8080 Not sure if anyone else is still getting this same issue... their suggestion is just a workaround to their proxy issue (same "solution" as last year until they actually fixed the issue)
