mawby
Hand brake. You need to insert a screwdriver into the hole (should be protected by a rubber cover if I remember) on the disc and turn it.... I can't remember what direction either but probably anti-clockwise, and this will adjust the hand brake such that the disc can be removed. Don't keep tugging it at like I did as you'll bend the adjustor out of shape and then it'll foul the disc when it's put back on.
heckler
you'll find that the disk will also be seized on. There are some small threaded holes you screw a bolt into to help release from the hub - goes with quite a BANG!
Guest Decat man
Many thanks for that... Sounds a plan
EdMorris
Just done this myself. Mine were really seized on. If the screw technique alone does not shift them then a few hard hits on the disc with a soft face mallet should help. It did for me. As a side the threads are M8 x 1.25 thread. Also, when you wind the brake shoes in via the plug, it needs to go all the way in a downwards direction. The adjuster is at the '6' position if you imagine a clock face, so line up the plug here and you'll be able to see it/turn it.
