SupraStar 3000
My soop has developed slight steering slop. Its just a few mm but turning from left to right its very noticeable, quite annoying and distracting. Whats the most likely cause? Is it steering rack, wheel or something else and how easy is it to fix? Thank you. All help appreciated

Jack the car up one side at a time and give each wheel a good shake. If you get movement then something is loose. I'm just guessing but if both of them shook i would guess steering rack, could be worn bushes on both sides though.
Homer
Go with the obvious checks first - wheels are on properly (really!) & tyre's are at correct pressure. Next check the track rod ends for play and any sign of free play on the suspension. Also check your subframe bolts and torqued up correctly. SupraStar 3000
During the weekend the first thing I checked was the retaining nut on the steering wheel and it seemed fine,.... but after the noticing movement back and forth aswell as side to side today I came to the conclusion the wheel was definitely loose,.... and it was Doh! First time around I didn't want to break the steering lock so wasn't brutal enough with the wrench. All fixed.
