Life ecu is a Syvecs aint it?

No dude not at all, I think the syvecs is 'based' on a life much as an Omex is a budget AEM, I will let Luke our other ecu guy explain the differences tomorrow, far too technical for me, i just drive it and pay for it!!!!

I like my F-con but after seeing a Life working at TOTB and what it can control, Matt and Luke have convinced me to move up in technology, i also don't trust my old engine loom and with the new ecu will come a custom loom, so that another source of problems ruled out.

Which Life Racing Ecu have you brought?

The top one apparently, I thought the middle of the range one sounded as if it would do the job but apparently it won't and I don't see the point in scrimping, its the lates all singing all dancing version, you prob know a lot more than me, i do know it has the latest firmware. I could have had a Motec FOC !!!!!!

Expect its an F88

You made the right choice over the motec!

Be good for Matt to get his head around as the Syvecs S6 is a stripped down F88 in a much cheaper case but all the firmware and software is the same.

The Syvecs S8 is a F88 in a nut shell.

It will transform the car though and all the engine trips etc will be definatly needed on your new setup.

Will watch with interest!

Who will be mapping it?

Matt will be mapping it dude, you would be welcome to come down foe a nose, we can supply tea biscuits burgers etc and plenty of piss taking. I don't get involved in the electronics side at all as you know, i dare say if matt is stuck he will call.

Dax Rush with a Turbo Busa engine on a Life with all the bells and whistles, fly by wire etc. I think Geoff Paige was looking after it.

The owner said the ecu was idiot proof so I thought it would suit me !!!!
