sdistc
We'll have to make sure we go to a show at the same time this year Andrew Will definitely try to get to the next show with some Supra presence - if only to live vicariously through the locals Wow. Your car will just have to pass an MOT AFAIK, details here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/Mot/index.htm A few people even know people in the UK who do 'friendly' MOTs... Thanks Gaz... I hope everything is pretty easy to arrange - but knowing what Australia is like with approving modifications like done to SDISTC makes me a little nervous with letting England look up its skirt. I hope everything is pretty easy to arrange - but knowing what Australia is like with approving modifications like done to SDISTC makes me a little nervous with letting England look up its skirt. The law isn't concerned with mods, provided the car passes the MOT, isn't stupidly loud, and complies with the Construction and Use Regulations (stuff like the tyres mustn't extend beyond the bodywork). What's involved in the MOT test: http://www.ukmot.com/manual.asp It's basically brakes (including the ABS warning lamp), tyres, lights, horn, suspension, steering, wheel bearings, windscreen/wipers/washers, seat belts, bodywork corrosion, exhaust leaks, emissions. Nothing is dismantled, and the only specialist equipment used is the rolling road brake tester, the emissions tester, and the headlamp alignment gauge. You'll need a rear fog light (you can modify the wiring and use one of the pairs of brake lights or bolt a separate lamp to the rear of the car). Converting the speedo to miles per hour will make life easier, but it isn't part of the MOT (although it is in the Construction and Use Regulations).
