xbox 360 doomed again !!

I always believed that if something is good and worth a lot of time playing, then it's worth paying the people who created it their dues in cash.

It's not microsoft, it's the developers you're shafting if you download everything, especially when it's an amazing game that has earned a 10/10 or something...

Wots your point??

Are you saying you buy all your music from a shop?? Or do you download?? Bet its the latter!!

Mmmm quality control.

Microsoft just so badly wanted to beat Sony + Nintendo to market the 360 was pushing the envelope on power + heat it could tolerate. You can see news on the net about power supplies burning houses down, motherboards dying, memory, CPU, DVD drives that may as well be a record player (scores nice tracks on your discs).

Even though they've revised the motherboard and CPU and GPU I believe (with the new boxes with HDMI support) they're still getting a very high failure rate for a cconsumer product like this.

I just hope MS don't rush through the dev/testing cycle of the next evolution. I'm not an MS hater, there's some lovely games out for it but quite frankly the reliability through bad design / cost cutting and haste to market have caused the issues.

Look back at the gaps between NES/Master system to SNES/Megadrive to N64/PS1. And how many of those did you have die? Yes they're not as complex as a 360, but they were reasonably complex for their time.

Hopefully they'll learn eh?

No you're right i download my music... from amazon usually now.

To be fair though, i don't begrudge people downloading music really, it's extremely over priced. You get 3 mins of entertainment, listen to a song a few times and you pay a lot for it. Games however, something worth playing is worth paying

Good ones.. certainly not. I don't know about you, but a good game can take up hours and hours of my time. bang for buck they are a bargain.

I find the same with music. In fact, music can generally keep me entertained far longer than any game.

Does that make your statement that music is overpriced false?

No, if you understand what i'm saying, it just re-enforces my statement that if it's worth playing / listening too, especially as you say if your music keeps you entertained for hours on end, then it's worth paying for!

Precisely ;)

It's personal to whoever the end user is going to be.

You may find games worth paying for and get the entertainment value from them.

Geo is clearly amused for a day or so and then moves on, hence the downloading :D

Perhaps you have the attention span on a nat, but i'm sure if GEO downloads a decent game, he's going to play it and get value for money out of it..I qoute Geo:

"Im half way through Terminator Salvation, and its not out yet over here. Iv had it for past 3 days"

he's had the thing for 3 days, is half was through and is obviously enjoying it.... pay attention!!

Of course it's personal taste, and is in the mind of the end consumer, but in relation to any media product, the statement that if it's worth playing / listening too (wanking off too :D ) it's worth paying for!! :D perhaps not wanking off... but hey, you could have an ejeculation problem and you might be there for hours infront of debbie does dalllas!

It's 'gnat', but thanks for that.

And Geo's my flatmate, so you'll just have to believe me when I say he is amused for "a day or so"....or does he also have the attention span of a "nat"?

I don't know, you tell me, you're the one sleeping with him!

I think the games are fairly priced for what you get.

Naturally, you get the most out of the game if you play on-line against other people.

I have been playing GOW2 for months now on-line as it's such good fun. That's certainly worth paying the price of the game.
