JustGav
Hmmm, 200 eur for a disc and 300 for a caliper.... oddly enough isn't half as pricey as I expected...
Alex
Yep I've changed my post - didn't realise it would time out, how frustrating.
Matt H
Brake discs and calipers seem good value.. Not much else there that could be used. Would be great to impulse buy the lot though. Just need an engine after that! well, a few more parts!
Alex
Rims can be turned into excellent coffee tables.
Al Massey
Dont suppose anyone knows the sizes of the brakes and wheels? out of curiosity
Alex
F1 are limited to 13" diameter rims...not sure on the widths off hand... EDIT - 12.4.1 Complete wheel width must lie between 305 and 355mm when fitted to the front of the car and between 365 and 380mm when fitted to the rear. Alex
Expensive coffee table But not ridiculously so, if you are a Petrolhead
kslb
It all seems piss takingly cheap!
Matt H
But not ridiculously so, if you are a Petrolhead I'd prefer a nice V8 table, or even better a V10. Not really an F1 fan so can't get excited over an alloy wheel.
tbourner
It is all very cheap, don't they spend £10k or more on a front wing for a race?
kslb
tried to buy stuff but it said the site has a security issue!
Soop Dogg
A friend of mine once was given a Toyota F1 brake disc to mount in a frame for a very important customer. (He runs a framing business) It was new and unused (Carbon fibre layers type thing) and signed by Ralph Schumacher. So he puts in his briefcase in the boot of the car. Anyway, later that day he needed something out of his briefcase, so opened it, retrieved what he wanted and closed the boot. Gets home that night after dark, opens boot graps briefcase by handle and swings it out of the boot.......only to find that it was still open! Valuable carbon fibre item comes out of his briefcase like a frisbee flies off into the darkness and lands at the far end of his driveway after bouncing off a wall. Luckily for him, all the damage was on the back of the disc, and as he was framing it anyway, it wasn't going to be discovered for a very long time. (if ever!) Lucky chap.
