JustGav
Okay, so the ad campaign is cute, the meerkat is cute, the music is catchy... BUT by god they are annoying bunch once you get a quote. I made the mistake of using them to get a quote for my van insurance and SO far, I've had 40 phone calls with at least 5 a day regarding my quotes, after telling them numerous times (around call no. 10) that I had sorted it. They are a persistent bunch who don't bloody listen when you say 'I've got it SORTED!!!'... They must really be trying hard to pay for that campaign. The phone number in case anyone should want to block it is, 08456850048... Oh, and never revisit an old quote as it kicks it all off again in the system and the calls start AGAIN!!! stevie_b
Do they do car insurance comparisions, or any kind of insurance? (I could go to their website for that info I guess, but I'm a bit lazy ) I've never bothered with comparison websites for insurance: too many variables IMO, and then you get companies like Direct Line who don't partake in them. I've usually had good quotes form Direct Line, so I just end up phoning them and a couple of others. On the price comparison sites, is the actual premium displayed, or is it just an indicative premium, that goes up, say, when you tell them you do more than 25 miles per year? I think there should be a comparison website comparing all the comparison websites. Or maybe that would be just silly...

Yup, they give actual figures, I used them simply to get a ball park figure which I could then beat my choice companies up with. Whether they are totally accurate is doubtful.. a computer after all can't suck it's thumb to come out with the correct premium
martini
I hate the adverts anyway. Stupid fucking meerkat...
Mike
We usually only get told if we feature in the top three quotes returned by MSM, GoCompare and Confused.. so they're the only ones we would outbound call. I'm surprised if they share your information with 40 providers!? We don't work with Beat The Quote... they're a bit of a competitor to us Useful info there bud
Carl_S
sorry to hear about this, sounds like they employ meerkats who won't stop popping up.
stevie_b
Thread revival: I've just tried comparing the meerkat market for my supra's insurance, but it seems they don't list imported supras in their database. Slightly frustrating as you only get to find that out after you've entered all the other tedious personal and circumstantial details. There are import options for Starlets and one or two other Toyotas, but not Supras. Similar with elephant.co.uk: no NA option, which usually means they don't cover the imported ones. Anyone had any luck with any of the price comparison websites for import insurance?

AlexM
I believe confused.com can now quote for imports, just don't expect the quotes to be too reasonable.

penguin
guys i would be very careful when using any car comparison site, i used confused.com the least few years and every time the quote has been low, once i call the insurer they tell me my occupation is listed as "medical consultant" when i always select "business consultant".... the difference in price is usually around the 25/30% mark!!!! idiots!
