Anybody else here think this is a great programme ?

Some of the scams are genius, so simple but so deadly.

Like the little pub games as well, some are brilliant.

Saying that, if Jess just asked me for all my money I'd give it to her anyway - great eyes

did you catch the las vegas episode (there was a few) where they switched the black jack deck? i wonder if anyone has ever had the balls to copy that one (if they did i wonder if theyve still got their balls)

It can be done but the problem is that the places that you can get away with the stunt is the places you don't want to get caught doing it.

The smaller places are the most dangerous.

i find it hard to believe that anyone can pull that stunt off. so much so that im convinced that that particular hustle was a set up.

you need to get the cards (design) the same, the shuffling machine the same, manage to swap it without anyone seeing (including the cctv) and then position yourself and remember the whole set upof the cards to maximise your profits. all it takes is for one random person to sit down and play different to how they had planned to ruin it all. a lot of work considering you can only double your money per hand (unless you get black jack obv).

The design of cards isn't an issue when it comes to the type of establishments this hustle can be worked on. The "shuffling machine" is simply a shoe, not a machine, these are readily available. The CCTV isn't much of a problem either as not all tables are monitored at all times. The chances of your switch getting spotted at the time are slim, its only when/if they review the footage later that you might get seen.. hence the sharpish retreat.

Memorising the cards isn't a problem in the slightest, i could explain it all to you but it would take a while. Basically you just need marker cards so that you know when to bet big. You can also have them in a certain order with a pattern.

the dealer is going to notice different cards.

as they mentioned on the real hustle this hustle will most probably have floor staff (the adjudicator dude), the dealer or the cctv operator in on it or even all three. seems a lot of work for the return.

They won't be different cards, that was my point. The only casino's that have their own cards are the MASSIVE ones. The smaller ones don't, they use good quality, readily available cards. They can usually be bought in the casino itself.

For example, there are 3 casino's in Glasgow. I have cards from all 3. The backs colours change randomly but they only use 3 colours and 2 finishes. Hardly difficult to have a quick peak in to see what ones are being used.

If you want to pull this off in a big hotel casino then you would need inside help. If you want to pull it off in a less classy establishment then all you need is some balls. You WILL end up in an unmarked grave if you get caught though, saying that if its your first time you might just lose a digit or limb or 2.

All the scams on the real hustle are done for real, this much i know. I was an amature card technician (i was into technical moves so i won't say magician) for 3 years. I know what you can get away with as far as cards go.
