caseys
Does anyone know if a bog standard wired 360 controller can work on Windows or not? All I can find is that there's a 360 controller 'For Windows' and am wondering if Microsoft are pulling a fast one and making you have to buy a specific controller. Anyone got a standard wireless 360 controller working on windows either? I ask as I want to get into Fallout 3 and my mouse is quite frankly crap for gaming and I'd like to be able to use a controller. Cheers
Samueltastic
Our wired 360 controller came with our Core consol when we got it a couple months after release, was playing Prince of Persia with it on my laptop last year and worked fine apart from some buttons such as clicking in the analog sticks didnt work. Only tried the one game though. You will need to download drivers for it though.

Well if you have any other recommendations for joypads/controllers for Windows send me a link I wish I still had my old 'bug' joystick from my Amiga days. Those things were great. Now installing Windows Live to get any updates/patches for Fallout 3. Rebooted and it's crippled the installation of Fallout 3. I love windows

Guest Budz86
Can confirm they do, as mentioned you just need to download the drivers. I'm using it for HAWX
caseys
Found out Gamestation sell the wireless controller + the PC Dongle brand new for £24.99 picking one up tomorrow. Considering that's cheaper than a standalone wireless 360 controller £32?) I'd say that's a bargain.
Matt H
On a similar note, if you have bluetooth on your PC, can you get the PS3 controller to work with a driver download (if available)?
