Kirk
Ive been toying with the idea of geting a camera. Dont realy want an SLR camera, far to much money for something that used every now an then. Seen a few in comet, 1 of them was this http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/522490/KODAK-V1273BLK/tab/specification#spec i tried it out in store and it seemed pretty impressive for what it was. £199 in store even though its half price on there site. Any recommendations on a budget between 100-250?
Snooze
My back-up for when I don't want to carry the DSLR is the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD. It's 10MP with a pretty decent 15x optical zoom lens and shoots video in 1280x720. You can pick them up for well under £200 now. Worth a look if you're considering a "superzoom". Lbm
I recently bought the Pany FZ28 10Mp, 18x optical zoom. 27mm Wide Angle - 486mm telephoto. While it has an Intelligent Auto Mode, it does have Aperture and Shutter Priority, Program and Manual Modes, so you can do DSLR like creative photos etc They're around £230 Here's a link to some of my FZ28 photos at a recent Reading Meet shots with it: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=182564&highlight=reading+meet&page=6 One more thing, yes it is bigger than a point and shoot, but smaller and lighter than DSLRS, so I believe the perfect step up between the two, weight, size and picture quality wise

hiten55
i did a bit of research into this about two weeks ago. ended up buying a panasonic lumix fx37. apparently the best digi cam out at the moment. i used it in the states while on holiday and i gotta say - really glad i bought it now. at first i took it back as i really wanted a canon but the shop wanted a 25% re-stocking fee!! so i kept it. good choice really. cant fault it. easy to use etc and the pics come out great.
