Sickly 2 day old kitten

One of the four isn't able to suckle and is very dehydrated looking. Off to get a syringe to try feed iy myself but is there anything else I should be doing?

That's all you can do really apart from keeping it warm. There's various makes of kittten replacement milk or powder to mix up, your local vet should have this in stock along with feeding bottles/syringes. You'll need to do this every hour or so though, there's full instructions on the side of the box.

To be honest, if it's struggling as badly as this after a couple of days I wouldn't be overly optimistic about it's chances unfortunately. :(

Update for those glued to this: The one surviving kitten is doing great, feeding fom the mother and being babysat by the dog. Only problem is that it's suckling for 4 and is too fat to walk!!

Keep an eye on it in terms of getting too heavy. If they can't move around or stand up the ribs can get distorted and the lungs crushed.

I'll mention this to the wife, who's taken to drinking Guinness, it may make her take notice without me having to get too up front and personal ;)

Have a pint of the black beside me now as it happens. Do the gentlemanly thing and knock a few back in her stead :D

Will prod it into doing a few laps. Eyes not open yet so still a bit wobbly. Off to google how long it takes for them to walk!
