The screw makes the spring that is pushing the diaphragm softer or harder. If it's pushing harder it means that the bov will only open at slightly higher boost resulting to some compressor surge at lower boost, so yes you could call that different sound :)

I was always under the impression that it is bad to mess about with it.

 

Yup

 

If you want to change the sound change the fins. I couldnt stand the camp sound it makes as standard so I put the purple fin on to produce a more of a whooosh sound.

yes ive looked and cant find a screw lol

it has a purple fin so maybe i need to get a gold one or swap it for new bov

any one know of any good loud bovs on market

 

The fin you've got is probably the stock silver one, when you first look at it you think its purple due to the purple blob thing in the middle.

yeh mate i think ur spot on, lol it has purple blob so im thinking it a silver one.

See when im driving it it sounds real camp sound as you say

but when im parked up and floor accelerator the bov dnt even make a nosie

Mine has the stock fin in, well it was in when I bought from new and mine makes a noise when i rev the engine hard enough, the hrder the louder it will go, but obviuosly wont sound until you take your foot off the accelerator after giving it some revs:sly:
