Multics Posted May 24, 2009 Share Posted May 24, 2009 The screw makes the spring that is pushing the diaphragm softer or harder. If it's pushing harder it means that the bov will only open at slightly higher boost resulting to some compressor surge at lower boost, so yes you could call that different sound Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SupraD06 Posted May 24, 2009 Share Posted May 24, 2009 The newer HKS SSQV has different fins that you can add to change the sound, one is for a lower noise, ( Purple IIRC ) the other is purely cosmetic ( Gold IIRC ) there isnt any screw or nut to make it any louder.
