p111ddy
Just hoping for some recommendations please, as I'll looking into getting a bike but would like to do lessons & my test before hand. I'm actually leaving next week to go back to Greece again this summer to work but only til Aug-Sept. So I just wanted to see how much cash I'd need to leave to one side for when I get back. So if anyone can recommend any good courses etc in & around the Milton Keynes, buckinghamshire area. It'll be much appreciated
Matt _Aero top_
depends on how much bike experience you have
p111ddy
Only ever had experience with a 125 on a CBT for a couple of years but haven't done any riding over here for about a year or so now.

jimojameso
Its about £800 or so to do an intensive course. If not then a CBT is roughly £140, then £50 per hour lesson. Have a look on the motorbike schools websites. All the details are on there.
pistonbroke
I believe the price has recently gone up. It was £800 for me 2 years ago to do a one week intensive course. That included everything, bike + gear hire with insurance, theory test, practical test and tuition. I had never ridden a bike before, so was a proper noob on the Monday. I passed with no minors on the Friday and jumped straight onto my R6 The test is now slightly longer so belive it's closer to the 1K mark. Al Massey
Just remember that they have added the "swerve" test Which has already caused a few accidents during tests

Al Massey
There looking into revising that part though i think and only done weather permitting bud. Dont know when it changes though. Thats what i heard. Was listening to radio one earlier about it and the woman incharge of the new scheme said all they want is to stop atleast one death or accident and they would be happy. Had to chuckle as they have had a few accidents already
