but do realise that with Bell I've got no agreed value etc. and will have to battle with money if ever I had a serious claim but am willing to accept that.

I thought Sky didn't do agreed value any more either? (I could be wrong here).

As for 'on the ball' I simply post that comment up everytime some one mentions Sky.... my renew is coming up this next month so I will give then a ring again this month and see what happens.

In my personal experience yes, it would be a very long story of woe but I ended up £3k down. It was a theft claim (wheels were nicked), but they were utter w**kers during the entire process. I can't even begin to describe how hopelessly inept they were handling the issue so will leave it at this as it still makes my blood boil!

Similar with me too. Had the car vandelised (tyres slashed and windows smashed). Windows replaced after 3 weeks of arguing but tyres not replaced as they wanted my £500 excess, whereas new tyres were about £650!

The only time I have ever had to get 'involved' with an insurance company was when someone hit my little fiesta in a car park. The insurance said it would go 50/50  but after explaining and sending them letters and drawings they dismissed his claim. 3 months later I got a summens through the door, the arse was now trying to sue me :( I made a phone call to the insurance and they said forward us the letter and we will deal with it. Bearing in mind I had no legal cover, they dealt with the whole case, paid for a barrister and I won, again. Oh this was with Norwich Union by the way. After that I would have been glad to insure my car with them again, there service was brilliant but they dont like modded cars and once the fiesta went I couldnt get insured anymore, plus there prices are not the cheapest.

Im with admiral on multi car policy £350 for my supra for year and £100 on a seat 1.6 cordova....cant complain at that!

That's an amazing price for both cars!! I don't understand why more insurance companies can't do multi car. I mean you can only drive one car at a time!! Spot on that :)

That logic doesn't always work out though if you need more than one driver on a car. Although I agree Multicar is definitely a good idea.

You always specify named driving though, and the max mileage should indicate usage.

Can't knock sky at the moment, while they weren't able to quote for my van, I've just had fun with my new insurance company. They 'forgot' about my small claim which I mentioned to them (so it wasn't a fib on my part).

Phoned me today to say the policy I've had for the past 3 weeks is null and void because when they checked with QBE re my no claims, QBE notified them of my claim. Bloke from the insurance company then informed me that he would be checking their tapes to see if I mentioned it, and surprise surprise it turns out I did and they forgot about it!!

Now they suddenly want more money for the same policy when it also turns out that I had 7 and not 6 years NCD...
