J_Supra_07
I have had my drive shaft go out me and just got a new one but it does not fit properly. It’s too big. I’ve put them next to each other and the new one is slightly bigger and has abs. My car is a converted 6speed TT auro. It has a 6speed diff and shafts Can someone tell me what shaft i have to get by looking at the picture?

Which part is too big? Is it the length or the diameter of where it goes into the diff?

Homer
Is the diff the large casing early model 6 spd one or the auto/late model 6spd one? The large casing diff has a shorter drive shaft on one side (forget which one).
J_Supra_07
diff its was a 1993 tt it came out of Edited May 21, 2009 by J_Supra_07 (see edit history)
Homer
That is the larger casing, so needs the shorter early 6spd driveshaft. The one you have been supplied with will be the longer one from an auto. Dash Rendar should have one available, but be prepared to pay dear, they are very rare.

Dash Rendar
Thanks Darryl. Yes, I do have one, and it's already up for sale... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=185587. And I'm told it's advertised too cheap, so grab yourself a bargain!
EdMorris
Silly question I expect, but does it matter if you fit a shaft meant for ABS when your car doesn't have it?
