MrRalphMan
Hi all, I know that this is a mkiv forum, but I was wondering on the off chance that someone knows about my problem. I have a mk3 turbo and it has developed a water leak. I have traced it to the solid pipe going to/from the Turbo. It is hard to see as it is tucked down between the turbo and the block, but once the car gets warmed up, it spits from where the two pipes join the turbo. Not too sure where from as it is hard to see down there, but it generally seems to spit upwards. Anyone seen this sort of thing before? Any help gratefully received. Adam W
The rubber water hoses seem to perish (probably due to the heat), I just ordered a new one for mine this morning. There's also a flanged joint between the metal pipes and the turbo itself, perhaps these nuts are loose or the gasket is leaking. Try HERE for more Mk3 info.
