Yup.

Does the engine warning light come up top right? Make sure this lights up when you first turn on

Then read up on how to check for fault codes and check yours for a code post up what number you get and we can go from there

Read this and it will explain how to get the code from the car.

Try not to panic most of these are simple speedo faults or other easy fixes.

Have you got an aftermarket front bumper i.e. removed the auto spoiler at the front of the car which automatically drops down at 60mph? I have a Veilside front and get that warning light unless its switched off.

I'm not sure if any of the NAs came with an active front spoiler. My guess is 1) your speedo is reading in kph (so 80 on the dial is actually 50mph ish), and more importantly 2) I'm *guessing* the ECU has logged a "code 42" error: a common fault which is triggered at about 50mph. It usually means your speed converter or odometer unit is flaky. Not a big problem. But... I'm jumping the gun here. Get the error codes and post up here what they are. :)
