broomie
Im getting a metallic clicking noise when rocking the steering wheel from side to side. It sounds like its coming from behind the steering wheel and not from anything outside the car. Ive tried the search button but that didnt help. Any ideas/advice? little num
ah ahhh, ive just had the same thing due to removing the front subframe, basically the steering bars that go from the wheel down to the rack need to be under tenstion all the time, now has i removed my rack and put it back on it felt as if id broken somthing trying to remove it. Since speaking to Keron on here he told me that the bars need to be under tension so i loosened the bolt next to the turbo's and loosened the bolts on the rack and sprayed some lube on the spline where i had just removed the bolt (next to the turbo's 12m) then wacked the front of the steering rack then tighened the the 12m then refixed the rack and what you no its solid again. crashoverride
wep, when i got my sup heard a very similar thing. found out the power steering res was almost empty, check that first and top up whilst moving the steering to full lock both ways, if it is that and not caught early enough it will be an expensive and time consuming fix.
