Craig David
Suppose I had a Supra TT and the turbos needed to be replaced and I went for recon ones, what would it cost? I'm talking drive in, drive out. Approximate is fine. Thanks Supra folks?

mr_maj
Just looking at that number for the company in birstall, theres one called AR Turbos which is in Birstall, West Yorkshire and their number is 01924 477747. They do free estimates. Personally id try and source some newly/recently recon'd turbos, will be a fair bit cheaper in most cases.

JohnA
If I knew then what I know now (regarding the UK turbo refurbishment companies) I would have never bothered to send my original turbo to anyone for 'free estimate' and the like. Let alone allow them to start hacking, hybridising and 'improving'. Jokers, ALL of them mate, and if you find anyone who supplies a pressure map with their 'hybrids', send it on a postcard. Hell, you're lucky if they even know the new A/R ratio of their stageX bollok-hybrid-overpriced-smokey garbage. I've dealt directly with a lot of them, and indirectly (via other people's private PMs) with the rest. Horror stories everywhere, you're looking for the best of a bad lot. As said, you're better off buying 2nd hand decent units from someone else, or going for proper hybrids of Garretts and the like (with interchangeable housings etc)

I was talking to Chris Wilson (his contact details are in his sig) a little while ago who should be able to do you a good deal on a refurb using Turbo Technics and they are trustworthy.
