Not running properly

Ever since I had a Greddy BCC fitted, my car has not been running like it should, for a start it still has a fuel cut at highish revs every time which is very annoying, it doesn't start well, and it doesn't feel as quick as it was, when I put my foot down the power just isn't there sometimes :( Any ideas?

But could it be the cause of the car not running properly, or just the fuel cut? Perhaps I should just take it back to AFR. Also it only had a service like 200 miles ago.

I thought the BCC was supposde to eliminate fuel cut?

Defintatley take it back. If you had something fitted and now your car is playing up then that's the first port of call. :)

The BCC will eliminate fuel cut up until what it has been set for.

I'm having problems with my car running sh*t afetr my BCC was fitted incorrectly it's overfuelling like mad. I'm going to take mine to a specialist. Would advise you do the same

Who fitted yours?

You are correct that the BCC needs to be set correctly, but incorrect settings should really only effect the point at which fuel cut comes in.

I remember years ago having to change the settings on my HKS FCD, and altered the settings dramatically in the first instance choose a starting point and the car barely moved. It got better as i changed the settings, but surely a tuning company can't get it THAT wrong?

It's definitely worth paying the money to get this sort of thing done properly - it can lead to all sorts of dramas if not. You don't want to end up with a knackered engine for the sake of needing to spend less than a ton on an hour's labour!

To be fair she did take it to AFR who are more than competant so I wouldn't have said it was a problem with the installation.

Nell, have you tried asking Matt or Dude? Could it be something like spark plugs?

When I went to the AFR open day, got on the Dyno and the fuel cut was there, so Matt changed some settings I believe, but it still made a poor power figure, and then when I drove it out of AFR that day, I started it up and it was like it was cold and poured with smoke and was over fuelling so badly, they fixed that on the spot, ever since then it's been running proper sh!t :(

I doubt it's spark plugs, I am positive it's do with the BCC now.

At which point did they fit the BCC?
