supraspeed
Ok my mates now considering getting an evo up to the 6k mark (trying to upstage me again lol) and ive been helping him look at the mk 4 and 5 as the mk 6 is the best but more than his budget. for my own knowledge is the evo 5/4 faster than a supra in a straight line (as its a 2l car) would give up into the 3 figures mark acceleration wise. obviously round corners the evo would do a supe but more bothered about straight line speed. anyone here had an evo and could give any advise about them, cheers

You will get destroyed mate. A stock Evo (any variant really) will give any supra hassle till the 80 mark.
supraspeed
No, in comparisent to a tt. my mate wants to get his evo running to around the 350-400bhp eventually, i'm assuming you can just bpu it. thing is i advised him on a 4wd thing as he's a bit of a pratt and a tt supra would kill him so i was trying to cover my own back compared with my next tt lol
AJI
I have an EVO 6 and my bro has an EVO 4. Both will get to 60 faster than a stock Supra NA and even a stock TT. But as mentioned the Supra comes to its own once you are not measuring off the line performance. A rolling start and it would be different story with the TT, but still as Scott mentiones an EVO 4/5/6 would still trounce an NA upto around 80ish. ETA - comparing my slightly modded EVO6 against my BPU TT Supra then the Supra definitely pulls stronger once rolling. But still 0-60 is around the 4.5 for both cars. Too close to call it. I think you are being kind. I don't see an N/A ever catching an Evo to be honest The thing with the evo is it is much more consistant for launching. You can get 5 sec 0-60's more often than not (if you don't mind cooking your clutch), its a lot different with the supra. Anyway, a 400bhp Evo IV/V is definitely not to be sniffed at. In that form of tune they will blow away most things, including sups, until into silly speeds (120-130ish). From there on the drag is just too much and a BPU sup would cuise past. Its not easy to get 400bhp out of the older evo's. A LOT of work needs to be done including engine rebuilds etc. The newer variants with 320/340/360 etc are much much easier as they have stronger engines and components to start with.
